So what is my call?
by Max Lucado
Each person is given something to do that shows who God is.1 Corinthians 12:7 MSG
Da Vinci painted one Mona Lisa. Beethoven composed one Fifth Symphony. And God made one version of you. He custom designed you for a one-of-a-kind assignment. Mine like a gold digger the unique-to-you nuggets from your life.
When I was six years old, my father built us a house. Architectural Digest didn’t notice, but my mom sure did. Dad constructed it, board by board, every day after work. My youth didn’t deter him from giving me a job. He tied an empty nail apron around my waist, placed a magnet in my hands, and sent me on daily patrols around the building site, carrying my magnet only inches off the ground.
One look at my tools and you could guess my job. Stray-nail collector.
One look at yours and the same can be said. Brick by brick, life by life, God is creating a kingdom, a “spiritual house” (1 Pet. 2:5 CEV). He entrusted you with a key task in the project. Examine your tools and discover it. Your ability unveils your destiny. “If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ” (1 Pet. 4:11). When God gives an assignment, he also gives the skill. Study your skills, then, to reveal your assignment.
Look at you. Your uncanny ease with numbers. Your quenchless curiosity about chemistry. Others stare at blueprints and yawn; you read them and drool. “I was made to do this,” you say.
Heed that inner music. No one else hears it the way you do.
What about you? Our Maker gives assignments to people, “to each according to each one’s unique ability” (Matt. 25:15). As he calls, he equips. Look back over your life. What have you consistently done well? What have you loved to do? Stand at the intersection of your affections and successes and find your uniqueness.
You have one. A divine spark. An uncommon call to an uncommon life. “The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others” (1 Cor. 12:7 CEV). So much for the excuse “I don’t have anything to offer.” Did the apostle Paul say, “The Spirit has given some of us …”? Or, “The Spirit has given a few of us …”? No. “The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others.” Enough of this self-deprecating “I can’t do anything.”
And enough of its arrogant opposite: “I have to do everything.” No, you don’t! You’re not God’s solution to society, but a solution in society. Imitate Paul, who said, “Our goal is to stay within the boundaries of God’s plan for us” (2 Cor. 10:13 NLT). Clarify your contribution.
Don’t worry about skills you don’t have. Don’t covet strengths others do have.
Just extract your uniqueness. “Kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you” (2 Tim. 1:6 NASB).
After reading the above, why do I still feel that I don't have any particular gift at all? Or why do I always feel I lack in everything and in every single area?!! Why do I feel that every gift I offer is not good enough??!!
Well, was reading RT Kendall's Believing God and this was said " We may think that God promised to use us and all we have to offer is this (gift) and if I abandon it, God cannot use me.
Well, the best we have to offer - even for God's service must be abandoned to Him. Let God decide what He will use. That which God may see in you may be quite different from what it is you think God is after. He doens't want your gift. He wants YOU! when you are utterly and totally His, then what you have to offer becomes subsidiary.

Yesus kekasih jiwaku
Sungguh kupercaya padaMu
Karena kasihMu padaku
Kau tebus dosaku
Dari terbitnya matahari dan sampai terbenamnya
Kuangkat lagu pujian
Tinggikan namaMu
Dengan gendang
kupuji-kupuji
Dengan kecapi, 0000000....
Kubernyanyi alleluia
Yesus kekasihku

I asked God for another sign for confirmation......He gave me this as a sign?! Means what?!
Running From God
Jonah 1:1-10
Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. —Jonah 1:3
Why do people run away from God? Is it because of anger, disappointment, despair, disobedience, or a web of rebellion woven from our own desires?
The book of Jonah looks at a prophet who rejected God’s call to deliver His word to the people of Nineveh. In the first chapter (vv.3,10), we read that Jonah deliberately headed for Tarshish to run away from the Lord. He knew exactly where he was going and why. After being given a second chance (3:1-2), Jonah delivered God’s message but reacted angrily when the Lord spared the repentant city (3:10–4:2).
The book ends with the Lord speaking to Jonah about His compassion: “Should I not pity Nineveh?” (4:11). But there’s no indication that the disgruntled prophet changed his attitude. The people of Nineveh repented; Jonah did not.
The story of Jonah should cause each of us to be honest about our feelings toward the Lord. Do we harbor resentment for His leniency toward people we feel deserve judgment? Have we forgotten that God has forgiven us? Are we ready to obey His call and leave the outcome to Him?
The story of Jonah illuminates our reactions to God and measures our willingness to trust Him when we can’t understand His ways. —David C. McCasland
Sometimes it’s hard to trust the Lord
When you don’t understand;
But fight the urge to run from Him—
Reach out and take His hand.
—Sper
He pleases God best who trusts Him most.
Have I been unconsciously running away from Him?!
Yet when I looked back a week ago, this was what I said in my diary
1 Jan - 7 Jan 2007
Struggling this week with walk with God.
Dunno why, is it coz :-
I’m taking a step backward because I'm too scared to venture in further to the uncertainy of my future ( yet in God we are secured),
the unknown ( yet in God why are we afraid of the unknown, knowing He has the BEST in store for us, and that HE is watching over us every step of the way),
the scariness( yet the most exciting experience always)
and fear ( God with us, whom shall we fear?)
of the journey God has in store for me.
Thankful I am...Grateful I am.....
On the night of 12 Dec 2006 (Tues), my bro in law was involved in a serious accident, a motorbike hit him on the back of his car, he came down to inspect the car, but as he turned around , two bulky guys were running towards him, fearing that they might be some robbers who purposely orchestrated the whole "accident", his first instinct was to get back in the car and quickly drive off.
In his haste, he lost control of the car at the next bend and the car hit a huge tree on a divider on the middle of the road. The tree fell across the other side, the front of the car was wreck..the windshield crack at the impact of his head hitting it. And yet he came out of the car with just only a fractured nose and a slightly swollen eye. * Amazing*
and The two guys on the motorbike followed him and ran off the instant they saw him hit the tree.
Saw Bro in law yesterday, he looks good..other than a slight swollen face and a slightly crooked nose that
So so super Thankful to Jesus for His Protection, Grace, Mercy ..how time and time again God is so good..to make sure that the impact was minimal.:-
1. With the wreckage of the car, it's truly amazing that he only suffered the minimal injuries he had. Worst case scenario Most prob he would only need to have surgery to straighten his button nose - for vanity sake :P heheheh..
2. Thankful that the tree was there ..if not the car would have flown over the opposite side and hit another passing car and might have caused injury on an innocent driver or even worse death for both my bro in law and another victim.
3. Thankful that there was no passing car ( on a usually bz road) when the tree fell across the road or someone might have gotten killed too.
4. Thankful that no one else was injured.
5. Thankful that God hears and answers the prayers of my mom, as she prays every morning to God (while on her morning walks) for the protection, blessings on her family, relatives and friends.
6. Thankful that God hears and answers my prayers to keep my family and friends safe at all times.
The story doesn't end here *grin*

A deeper and inner challenge - You say you are Wlling but will you really Act on it?!
R.T.Kendall <> - Abraham and Isaac ( Heb 11:17-18)
“ We are told that Abraham ‘stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his on’ (Gen 22 : 10), for Isaac was ‘ as good as dead’. Abraham was now carrying outwardly what he had committed himself to inwardly. Abraham had in his heart of hearts said ‘goodbye to Isaac’.
By the way, Abraham had to do it. He had been willing, yes. But he had to do it. Our hearts are so deceitful. We often think we are wiling but when it comes to doing we tend to play games with ourselves. When Abraham stretched forth his hand, there was not the remotest thought that God would stop him. Many of us know the ending of the story and often fancy a happy ending of our particular trial along the lines of the Abraham and Isaac story. We therefore say to ourselves that we are willing. We are willing to abandon ourselves to God, but do we do it? We are willing to obey but do we do it? Jesus said : ‘ For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it’ ( Mark 8:35)
As long as we are thinking of saving our lives that whole time we are trying to lose them, it manifestly shows we haven’t abandoned ourselves yet. To lose oneself is to carry out outwardly what we are committed to inwardly without any thought of a happy consequence.
Don’t; try to predict the end from the beginning. What God will salvage when you offer your own body a ‘living sacrifice’ is His business. You will say “ but there will be nothing left of me for Him to use.’ When there is nothing left of you for God to use, you are at the moment ready to be used.
When God speaks, somehow it shuts me up and stops me from questioning more. All I have to do is just OBEY and TRUST HIM whose ways are higher than and thoughts are greater than mine! Lord, teach me how.
Luck?? Coincidence? or The Hands of God?! Which do you think it is?
Luck?? Coincidence? or The Hands of God?! Which do you think it is?
Would you rather have a stroke of Luck or have things happen by Coincidence and not have security and certainty in life? or would you rather have Life guided by the hands of a loving, gracious and merciful God? And have this assurance that whatever circumstance or situations that may be thrown your way, It's still gonna be alright! Because there is a God above ALL that is in control and watching over us...each second and each minute of our lives. Who knows our every thoughts, our every emotions, every aspect of our lives, who knows us inside out and understand us better than our ownselves. He even knows the EXACT number of hairs on your head!

“Why do people face the most trials just after witnessing something great done by God?”
Below are his thoughts.
I was wondering during the ride home (after the rear windshield shattered), “Why do people face the most trials just after witnessing something great done by God?”
A verse came to mind.
2nd Corinthians 12:7-9 To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
2 thoughts from that verse.
1) To keep me from becoming conceited…. So that Christ Power may rest in me.
God allows this to happen, so that we learn to rely on God and depend on Him
2) A messenger from Satan.
Satan will do everything in his power to distract and to discourage
I've always wondered the same, as in why also does bad stuff happen to God's people and why have to put His sons and daughters through so much pain.
Thanks to Mars for the revelation and thank you Jesus for speaking to us again and helping us understand our situations.
I'm encouraged and blessed.

Whatever our hands touch
We leave fingerprints!
On walls, on furniture,
On doorknobs, dishes, books,
As we touch we leave our identity.
O God, wherever I go today,
Help me to leave heartprints!
Heartprints of compassion,
Of understanding and love.
Heartprints of kindness
And genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lonely neighbor,
Or a runaway daughter,
Or an anxious mother,
Or, pehaps, a dear friend!
Lord, send me out today To leave heartprints,
And if someone should say,
"I felt your touch,"
May that one sense YOUR LOVE Touching through ME.

Conversations ~~
Fren A:
Just know u say how u overcome the depression ar?
Fren B:
har? how i overcome my depression?
Fren A :
yea
Fren B :
how ah? many ways combine together lo.., i would drown myself in Christian songs..and pray to God at the same time...
talk to God lo..tell Him how i feel...coz God is our refuge and our strength, He’s our joy and peace,...
then one of those CHristian songs are bound to speak our hearts.....so i will keep singing that particular song that touches me..and sing it as a prayer to God lo..
Fren A
ohh ok
yea that will work too
Fren B
then I can imagine that I'm in God's arms...and know He is holding me tight and hugging me, somehow healing , peace will come...
then i will read Psalms..coz got all of God's promises there!
and keep telling myself that there's hope always in God lo..
and that i can overcome this depression..coz Christ has already at the cross carried all my hurts, pain,,,and every single thing in our lives ma.. and wipe away all by His blood..
and that by His death and resurrection , He has gained Victory....and us being prince and princesses of God...also have the same victory coz God is on our side lo..
and because of all this i know that my depression and pain is temporary and i can overcome it!
try it and see!
u know wat i realised? when i'm depress...the devil will lagi use my depression to make me more depress...and he takes the opportunity to whisper in our ears that....we are useless la, no hope la, all the nonsense la to make us de-motivated and lose faith... he's very subtle..
so to block that..i keep on declaring God's promises and God's words by reading the bible aloud.. to block all the nonsense that the devil is telling me.
say it out loud and believe what the Bible says..coz it’s real...
sometimes..i doubt God's words...so i tell Him " God, your word says this and this and this...how come i don’t see it in my life??! Lord i refuse to believe that u are bias only bless certain ppl or that U are not working in my life, Lord, I just refuse to believe that and that U are a small God, I know that U R a Great God and the God of impossibilities! and I stand on the promises of Your WORD
coz it's the TRUTH! let ur word pierce my heart and make me see that it's true and that U R real! ..
Fren A
wow
Fren B
hope it helps...
God taught me all this during those times of my depression, lostness....
Fren A
k......that's good
Fren B
u have to just refuse to let anything hinder u from believing..
u know ...when i see other ppl with great faith and so much blessings, or having a close walk with God....i thought to myself.." nah God wont do that for me"
but then it came to a point...i told myself and God... God i want that kind of close relationship with U, and if u can be real to others..u can be to me too..coz U love us all the same!.
Fren A
and...?
Fren B
and then i took the effort to spend time reading Bible..more time doing quite time with God..
just talking and talking to Him lo..like how i talk to a fren..
it was tough la..
coz like for few weeks..like no response..
but when God is quiet and no response sometimes..it's coz He wants us to really press on and keep on going..and calling out to Him..
sometimes when i read the bible i get so offended...i go like " yer..why God u so unfair? "....or why GOd like that one?
i ask why why why..
and God speaks in different ways..and reveals things in many ways
sometiems it's thru the bible, sometimes it's thru Our Daily Bread, thru articles...,, somoetimes it's thru sermons.
sometimes it's thru songs, sometiems it's thru frens..
the key is to always keep ur heart and ears and eyes open....humble, and willing to learn and listen..
and asking God..wat is it u trying to tell me?
and sometimes He speaks thru situations in life....and sometimes..in quietness..He whispers into ur ears..
and when He speaks.somehow u will know...coz it will either shut u up..then u dun ask why anymore..or sometimes there's just peace in the heart..
and sometimes when u not sure, it's ok to ask God for confirmation....
i;ve also learned that there are some questiones which He might not answer us in this lifetime, there are questions He will not answer straight away...
but just trust that He knows best and His timing is always on the dot..not too late , not too early. u just gotta keep believing and trusting..
Fren A
yea
that's true
jus sometimes u dont understand why certain things happen
but when u look back someday u'll see why it happens for a reason
Fren B
yea...that's very true..
u know i told my fren once " That God never promised that our life on earth will be easy, He never promised us that our walk with Him will be easy, He never promised us that being a Christian in this world is gonna be easy, He never promised us that everyday of our lives will be sunshiny and clear. But He did promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Fren A
amen
Fren B
He promised to walk with us each step hand in hand and carry us when we dun have the strength to go on, He promised us that He will be there when we need Him,
He promised to be our ALL in ALL, He promised to make us complete and whole and He promised us that He will always be our fren. ONLY if we allow Him to.
Fren A
but sometimes still can't help but to feel down
Fren B
ya i un.....and it's ok to feel down..
at least u know u are human and normal..ahahhaha...
dun think God would expects us to be robots and emotionaless..
the choice is - what do u do when u feel down?
choose to let it pull u down?
or choose to cry it all out to God and tell Him about it, then pick up urself again, and look towards Jesus for Hope and keep on believing that He is there with u and He will surely see u thru this time of sadness and depression.
it's not easy.....just gotta make an effort lo...
God promise us in Matt 7:7-11
“ Ask and it will be given to you, Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, he who seeks finds and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Which of you, if his son ask for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! “

Psalm 145 :
Vs 8
The LORD is gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger and rich in love
Vs 9
The LORD is good to ALL;
He has compassion on all He has made.
Vs 13b
The LORD is faithful to all His promises
And loving toward all He has made.
Vs14
The LORD upholds all those who fall
And lifts up all who are bowed down.
Vs15
The eyes of all look to You
And You give them their food at the proper time.
Vs16
You open the hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
- God has already spoken, declared and promised that He is our healer , and He heals all those who are brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. It is a promise to us, all we need to do is just to call upon the name of Jesus and reach out to Him as He is already there beside us waiting for our cry.
- I have personally experienced and know how true vs 3 is, during this difficult period in my life I was so depressed that when I wake up every morning I had nothing to look forward to, to me there was no hope, no future . There came a point when I just didn’t want to be depress anymore, I just couldn’t take it anymore, I broke down and cried and said to God, “ I cannot take it anymore, I really really do not want feel this way anymore, God help me, help me, heal me, set me free! Healing did not come overnight, God in His wisdom and timing gave me healing over time, He set me free from the strongholds and wrong attitude and mentality. Where the Spirit of the LORD is there is liberty.!
- Jesus, You gave me hope, life and a future because I know my life is in Your loving hands.
He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.
- Isnt it amazing that God Himself has placed the stars in skies, each and every star He knows and He determines the exact number of stars in the universe. It’s just so mind blowing that God even calls them each by name! If God pays so much attention and detail to the stars what more us who are His created in His image??!!
Great is our LORD and mighty in power;
His understanding has no limit
The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.
Vs 10
His pleasure is not in the strength of the horse
Nor His delight in the legs of a man;
The LORD delights in those who fear Him
Who put their hope in His unfailing LOVE.

Each of us has a journey of our own that we must take~
“One of the essential ingredients of faith is that God tests us in such a manner that there is no exact precedent for our own situation or trial. And yet faith must be like this, or there would be a natural basis for making faith solid. God comes to every individual in such a manner as to wipe out all precedents, that there may be nothing for us to do but to believe God. “
Taken from the book by RT Kendall “Believing God” , studies on Faith in Hebrews 11
LORD, I pray that when I'm faithless, please do remind me to look to YOU and not my surroundings~~ that YOU are the TRUTH, YOU are the LIFE and YOU are the WAY!

When I say ..." I am a Christian"
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean living."
I'm whispering "I was lost,"
Now I'm found and forgiven.
When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"I
still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
who received God's grace, somehow.
Somehow, Maya Angelou put it so perfectly that no additional words are needed....

About Me?!
Just a girl from a normal family, with a normal childhood, a normal life, with normal friends and living in a normal neighbourhood but all this normality made EXTRAordinary, Beautiful and Amazing by God's hands of GRACE and MERCY.
So blessed~~
A thousand times I've failedStill Your mercy remains
Should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in Your grace
Everlasting - Your light will shine when all else fades
Neverending - Your Glory goes beyond all fame
Many people visualize a God who sits comfortably on a distant throne, remote, aloof, uninterested and indifferent to the needs of mortals, until, they can badget him into taking action on their behalf.
But it's not True!
The Bible reveals a God who, long before it even occurs to man to turn to him, while man is still lost in darkness and sunk in sin, takes the initiative, rises from his throne, lays aside his glory and stoops to seek until he finds us because He LOVES us.
God has spoken and acted in Jesus Christ. He is a God who loved, and came after, and died for, a world of - us
The Bible says that He knows each and everyone of us personally and knows us inside out even the exact numbers of hair on our head. He knows us each by name and has inscribed each of our names on the palm of His hand :)
The question is - do you want to know Him personally like a close friend? and embark on a super "Chi Kek" journey not forced but instead guided by His loving hands, just like how a parent guides a child.
He has promised us that He will never leave nor forsake us in any circumstance.
Impossible and Unbelievable? Believe it! :))I couldn't either until I've experienced it for myself. He's amazing!
